Cannot tie phone to profile

I recently set up a profile in SYNC. I can tie the key fob, but it does not recognize my phone (P6P). When I try to link it, it says that my phone needs to be in the car for it to link to the profile. It is not just in the car, but connected (android auto).

I've had PaaK issues for quite some time and recently reset Paak completely, including deleting and reinstalling the app to get it to work.

I assume the issue is my phone (it's almost time for a new one), but I'm hoping there is something I can do to limp along until then.

It's not a huge issue. I am just wondering if there's something I can do to get this linked.

I wonder if linking the fob prevents linking the phone? Maybe only one key per profile? Just guessing…..
