Yesterday, the day after I was on a trip, I remembered to charge the car, it was at about 50%. I ensured the Wallbox was on my iPhone APP and running. I plugged it into the car, and only the white circle segments, all then showing two. It would not take a charge. Amongst my tries, I started the car, back up, and reparked. Closed both APPS and tried several times. I also confirmed the car knew I was at the home charger, and that it was set to charge to 85%. Nothing. It ended up with just the 2 white arcs of the circle. So I gave up, and went to my condo, but did leave the car plugged in. I checked the manual, using the AI feature - nothing that looked helpful.

I decided to go for an errand drive this morning and see if that helped. Not needed, the circle was blue, and the last arc flashing. It had charged to 84%. Does anyone know what was going on. It might be helpful to me should this happen again. I'm fairly sure it was the car and not the WallBox, but I don't know that.

Impossible to say from your write-up. Sounds like it had a time set for the charge, and when you initially plugged in was outside that time. Moving the car does nothing. Don't know what the Wallbox app does, but if it was set right then having it open does nothing. The FordPass app being open does nothing.

Only the charging manager for our condo can reset the WallBox. For all I know, he did it. But again I don't know. I'll ask him. I was going to have my kid see if the WallBox could charge his Tesla. I have suggested, futilely so far, that the dozen of us who have chargers have each other's phone numbers so we could cross check things like this. I will try again. I was told this was too complicated. grrrrr. ps. Thanks for the reply.

Just a thought. Does your electric utility company have Time-Of-Use billing? And therefore your condo manager may have set the wall box to only allow charging during the time when electricity is the cheapest?

Ford app has a start charging tap that should over ride any sync schedule but if it is outside the window of their charger that will do nothing.

Ensue charger is set to dumb mode (charge any time all the time) with whoever has the key or find out when it will charge. Have him flip the breaker. Try another charger somewhere. Look at what schedule for that location you have set up in the car on sync. Apps then charging I think?

Mystery solved: The charger needed a reset. But the app did tell me that it was ready to go, plugged in, and waiting for the car to ask for power. Administrator said he did the reset, and had observed that my car was ready to charge. For other complications, typical for a high rise condo, only the administrator can reset. We don't have varying power rates. My suggestion that we should have an easier way to know the system is down went nowhere.

If you want to (mostly) rule out an issue with the car, maybe take it to a public DCFC? My Chargepoint Homeflex has been rock solid for around three years. On those super rare occasions I have had charging issues, it was always an issue with the EVSE. Reboot usually fixed things. Glad you were eventually able to charge.
