Carplay Maps No Longer Scrolling After Update

Has anyone else experienced an issue with CarPlay maps (Waze, Google, etc) no longer letting you use your finger to scroll on the map while driving?

If I want to scroll I now need to hit up, down, left, right buttons to do so instead of being able to drag my finger as I could prior to the December MachE software update. I am still able to scroll on the map in my wife's car so it is not an iphone issue.

If there is a way to fix this setting I would greatly appreciate it.

Me too (Google Maps).

However, if you use Apple Maps in CarPlay, you can scroll with your finger.

But I like Google Maps over Apple Maps so decisions, decisions!

I am in the same boat however I gave Apple maps a shot and was quite impressed with the visuals and the fact that it syncs directions directly on the front display. In terms of routing, I found both are pretty good nowadays.

I noticed the same change in my F150 after the updates to the unreal UI. I used to be able to scroll in Waze and now I no longer can.

Yes, I’m seeing that too. Unfortunately no longer scrolls around in Waze or Google Maps.

Not my experience. On mine I have to use the arrows. I think it worked that way once upon a time for me but hasn't in a while. My latest Power-Up is 4.1.1.

Has anyone had an update about this?

I recently updated to Power-Up 3.5.4, and I believe this update has disabled my ability to drag/scroll around on Waze. It was really convenient and it would be a shame if definitely removed

Wondering the same. It works fine on Google Maps in CarPlay in our Palisade, but not in the Mach E CarPlay.

The exact same thing happened with my Mach E and Google Maps after 3.5.4. Super annoying, I actually switched to Apple Maps which still allows scrolling by touch. Navigating the map with those basically unusable arrows while driving is actually dangerous.

Yes, it had worked in the past. I’m on whatever the last Power-up is.
Maybe it’s a Google thing and not Sync?
