After searching for suggestions about a case to buy for my new adapter, decided to order three different cases for the Ford adapter to see which might work best. Here are some photos and comments in case anyone is interested.

The first case is a hard shell. The adapter is a tight fit, but should fit better if the honeycomb padding sheet were cut out. You can still zip the case closed, but it bulges quite a bit. This case is twice as expensive as the softer cases, so I decided to return it.

The next two cases are soft. Both come from China and may very well have been manufactured at the same place, but Amazon sells them through two different vendors, packages them differently and charges a different amount for each.
The first is a leatherette material and only seems to come in this one color. The case is slightly padded, but the adapter fits rather well and the case only bulges a little bit when zipped shut. I'm not sure how durable the leatherette material will be, but it seems smooth/slippery enough to resist staining and might wipe clean.

The last case comes in many colors. It is a smooth, but slightly textured fabric. It seems that it might be a bit more durable/rip-resistant than the leatherette case, but it also might stain more easily and dirt might not wipe off as well. The case is slightly padded and the adapter fits inisde was well as in the above case. Both zip shut easily.

So, there you have it. I am still trying to decide between the red and greenish case. Both are very similar. I guess the choice will be whether I want one that might be more resistant to stains and more easily cleaned or the red one which might be more resistant to scrapes and tears.
