MME CR1 on order

I just found out that the dealership I selected does not take X-plan. I found another dealership that does, and they mentioned that since I'm still at the "Order Accepted by Dealer" step, I can call Ford to transfer my order. I just tried to call corporate but they're closed on weekends. I saw somewhere that you cannot transfer after you get a build date, but not clear if you can do it after dealer acceptance. If this isn't possible, would it be better to place another order with the 2nd dealership and just let the 1st order move along, or should I cancel that 1st order now?

PS: This forum has been so helpful, dealerships seem to not be knowledgeable about the MME and order process just yet. Thanks everyone.

I ordered online 10/4, dealer accepted 10/10
If you cancel and get your money back likely they will keep that order on the system so they get the car and will sell it with ADM I would try to switch it on Monday if you cant reorder it with new dealer that takes X-Plan since its only 1 month later wont put you to far back in the order to delivery date.

I tried to transfer an order but went around in circles. I called Ford and they told me that the dealer I wanted to transfer to had to reach out to the regional rep. I told the dealer this info and they told me they can't do it and only Ford corporate can do it.

Yikes. Did you end up canceling your order then?

I will look up x plan. I dont know what it is. Lol As for my dealer. I am very happy with them. Placed my order Oct 18th, was accepted Oct 18th, got my email from Ford accepting my build Oct 18th. So those 3 things happened the same day. Within a few hours.

Reservations can be easily transfered by Ford Corporate.

Orders can be transferred (I learned from a forum member, first I had heard that), but it takes more involvement.

Wow that’s amazing. X-plan is fixed discounted pricing and you save a few hundred dollars. I’m mostly interested in it just so I don’t have to negotiate bs dealer add ons.

Do you know if the order transfer is done by the original dealership, the new dealership, or Ford corporate? Hearing dealership horror stories almost makes me want to get a Tesla LOL.
