My gut is saying this might be an issue with the charging outlet. Are you sure it is well maintained? Personally, I have not used the FMC yet, but whenever I got a charging error, it was the charging station that caused the issue.

You may try to charge it in other places.
I have been using the same setup since I got the car last October. but I can clean up and tighten all the connections.
the mobile charger stays blue though, and the charge would start again if I unplug the J1772 and plug back in. typically error out about 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. temperature probably was not issue as last time it was only 70F when it errored out.

Having used the FMC a lot, in my case the issues were NOT caused either by my 14-50 circuit or connection issues. I will be interested to see if Ford replaces your FMC under Warranty?
I just need someway to confirm it's the mobile charger having issue. maybe borrow another charger to see whether it can charge couple of hours without error.

I was hoping that I could just drop mine off at the Ford dealer for them to test it but they wanted me to bring the car in as well. Several times I have cleared the amber fault just by resetting the breaker. On these occasions the car was not even plugged in.

Take a video of the amber light sequence on the charger when it faults and show the dealer. That SHOULD help in moving things along

Partial thread creep for the Tampa folks.
Autonation Ford in St. Pete just did my Blue Cruise update successfully. They had it for a day and a half. No problems so far. The service writer told me that they only do these on Tuesday and Friday when I scheduled it. When I picked it up today she said that they weren’t gonna schedule anymore because it takes too long. So there’s that. You could always give ’em a call and try bribery.

Wow that’s messed up. It’s not great they can pick and choose whether to do these updates. They are also one of the largest dealers around here, and have sold a ton of these vehicles. Disappointing.

I‘ve tried it on 3 different outlets at work. All the outlets have been installed in the last 8 months, are only used for EV charging, we’re installed by professionals and have worked for every other EV at my job. I also tried at home and that outlet was “professionally” installed 2 months ago for the car and has its on breaker and is Installed at the main power for the entire property. If I said that all correctly! It’s the cord

Yup. Take it to the dealer and they should be able to verify on a 240v outlet there
