charge point ford pass app issue

i am set up on the ford app and ford.com for public charging ,my ford pass app is not letting me to enable the plug and play app. it tell me an error and try back later been trying for 2 days. . i called ford no one seems to know, i was tranfers 6 times. was told someone will get back to me in 1 to 5 days.

any ideas ??

Plug and Charge is only compatible with Electrify America from what I remember. I always have to use the ChargePoint app to initiate a session at one of their chargers.

Did you provide Ford with a credit card for the Blue Oval Charge Network. The Network has quite a few providers including EA, Chargepoint, EVGo etc.

Also, it has been awhile since I did this, you also have to create an account on ford.co.uk and link this to your FordPass app as I recall.

Go to https://www.ford.com/connectedservices click on manage for BlueOval Charge Network, and make sure everything is all set there. You'll have to add a valid credit card if you haven't yet.

Call Ford and have them walk you through Connected Services to ensure that you have a valid credit card linked so you can use Blue Oval Network. Were you ever connected? Did you use your free 250 kWh EA bundle?

My experience with Ford Connected Services is that everything takes more time than you think it should - like a couple days. You think that with computers, the internet, the speed of light and all, that once you enter the info you should be good to go, except you aren’t. Then, a couple days later it magically starts working.

oh i have called several times , finally they put in a repair ticket, to call me back in 1 to 5 days they are saying , it could be on the back end somewhere and need to research, we deleted the app reinstall the app, change the credit card . tried a different phone. been out to electrify they said it was with ford and charge the car for free 3 times. heading to the dealer today and see what they say.

So you’re saying it initially worked. I guess going to the dealer is the right approach. Good luck.
