Charge port ajar

This has happened a couple of times now where the charge port door opens while I'm driving. Both times were on the freeway at higher speeds, when the door suddenly opens and the “charge port ajar” warning comes on.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Yes, I've had this happen a few times. Waiting on a recall, the mechanism is flimsy.

Once for me as well. The damn side view mirror completely blocked my view, so I couldn't tell if it was a faulty message or the door was really open. When I pulled into the driveway and got out, it was open. The whole mechanism feels like something on a cheap child's toy...

FWIW, my '06 Mustang once gave me an error message for the gas cap being loose after an especially vigorous gear-shift. So not a new EV-only issue!

This happened to me recently when driving on the highway. Was there any resolution? I'll mention it at the next service unless it persists.
