My electric company has 2 chargers that they offer at a discount

1. ChargePoint Home Flex 32A 6-50 Plug $227.00
2. JuiceBox 40 EV Charging Station 14-50 Plug $177.00

Originally I was planning to Purchase the ChargePoint Home Flex 14-50

The charger will be outside in the elements. I could either hard wire them or have a plug outlet installed.

Thank you

Unless the manufacturer’s instructions allow for removing cord & plug then hard wiring, doing so would be a violation if the UL listing. Most people don’t care about that, but you should at least be aware.

I really like my ChargePoint flex. The 6-50 and 14-50 units are the same if you are going to hardwire them. Then you can set them at 48 or 50 amp depending on your breaker size.

The flex are able to be hardwired very easily. They use toggle wire clamps to secure the wires.

That looks great!!! Did you hardwire yours?
Thanks
Thanks. That was the only way the wife would allow “an ugly charger” in her landscaping. Ha ha. Yes, hardwired to a 60 amp breaker to get the max charge speed the Mach E will allow. I ran liquid-tight flex conduit inside the metal mailbox post and then transitioned to Rigid below ground.
