Charger and installation

State of Charge got me very interested in the Iyilo level 2 charger when I saw it break his grading scale.

I am getting my install done next Saturday and I just need to choose the charger. I think I like the Eviqo one the most, but close behind is the emporia pro, Iyilo, and the grizzl-e. Has anybody heard anything negative about any of these? Or more importantly, what did you guys chose and why. The emporia is a good $200 more then the other 3 so I’m probably not gonna do that, but just curious.


What models are you looking at?

The Emporia Pro includes the Vue 3 home energy monitor which monitors the current into your main panel and throttles the power to the Emporia to prevent overloading and tripping the breaker to your main panel. You pay $150 for that over the Emporia Classic. So, if you don't need home monitoring, save the dollars..

That brings the pricing of the Classic closer to the others.

In the end, they all seem to be good choices.

I was narrowing it down between the Iyilo and the eviqo and just last night I went with the eviqo, I like the square style of it and it seems very robust and decent with features and price.
