Charging problems: Set charge time not starting the charge

2021 MME 31k miles, all software updated recently, while a new LVB was installed. I have the charge times set for 2 am-11 am. I plug in at 9:30 and go to bed. Wake up at 6 am to find the charging process never started. This is not new. I tried it a few years ago, and it didn't work. But if I set the charge times to 7 pm -11 am (our power company's discount times), then plug it in during THAT period, all is well. I can live with that, but I wanted to set a new start charging time to see if it would go on automatically, and it didn't. No departure times are set. Any ideas?

if that is required, what's the purpose of the app for charging schedules? Curious to know if it works to start charging from the car, but way more convenient to have the option of having the app behave as it shoukd

This is a known problem. Brian the Ford rep has drawn it to attention of the engineers and an OTA update is expected. But probably only for the start end of the window and not (yet) for the end part of the window.
