Couldn't open the door to get into the car.
This is the sign that the 12v battery is dead. If nothing electrical fires up, your 12v is dead.

Glad they got it sorted out.

Thanks for the tip. I did buy one from Amazon after they replaced my dead 12V battery, because I wanted to be prepared if it happened again. Little did I know that the following day, my wife left her lights on overnight on her Audi Q5 and drained her battery. My amazing new accessory came to the rescue. We stuck it on the terminals and it started first time. Best $100 I ever spent. I would highly recommend investing in one and keep it close by. You'll never know when you might need it.

This really reminds me that I should have a jumper to keep at the house. I do carry one in the car (just a carryover from having to jump my 4Runner once or twice and other vehicles when I can help). I'd still like to keep one in the car - but obviously I may need one outside the car to get into my own car.

I have one of the Harbor Freight Viking ones right now that, honestly, has been pretty good to me over the past few years. Has never failed to jump anything, even some V8s that it isn't really rated to do. And I try to be good about topping up the battery every 3 months like it recommends.
