Hello all

I have a level 2 Juicebox charger at home on capable of charging upto 32 amps. To preserve battery health is it better to trickle charge at 6 or 12 amps overnight when possible keep charging at 32 amps? Thoughts?

L2 charging at any speed is not hard on your battery. It is DC Fast Charging you have to minimize. The battery will not be damaged by charging at the full L2 speed of 48 Amps. So 32 is just fine.

Battery health is only really a moderate concern with constant DC fast charging. With level 2 charging, charge at what ever rate you can. We have a 14-50 outlet in our garage and charge at 40 amps with the Emporia EVSE.

I charge at 30 amps instead of available 40, not so much for the battery health but rather put all the home wiring under a little less stress. And what's the rush, anyway?
And at 30 amps is pretty close to 10% charging an hour. I like round numbers ?
