I recently traded in my 2021 Select for a 2023 Premium last month.
This week my car has started charging to 80% and then doing the trickle charge. My charging station has (n my car and last car) is set to charge to 100% (I only charge once a week to week and a half) for the last 3 years. Now it's doing this. I do not want it this way. Any ideas what I can do? Ford advisor tried to tell me the charging station should have always done this, but I think he/she is wrong. I have the connected charging station 48A.

The timing and ultimate percentage of a charge are determined by how you program the car... Either in-car, or using the Ford Pass app.

The only role of the EVSE (your Charging Station) is to partially override that choice by only being available to supply power for some hours, per its completely independent programming--also by you.. If it's available when the car is programmed to charge... Charging occurs. Otherwise, no supply/no charging.

Perhaps I've misread your post (one sentence reads like there might be a few words missing) but I hope this helps you or anyone else who might misunderstand the EVSE/car relationship.

With the limited information available, I suggest you might review the new car's charging schedule programming for your solution.

try setting up your charging parameters in sync 4 screen. I've had success with that when I couldn't get the car to take my fordpass settings.

The car is set to 100% and so is Fordpass

Research charging curves in these threads. All EVs will drop the charge rate when they hit 80-85% charge. The rate will then taper off as it approaches 100% to decrease heat issues. Your car should always have charged in this manner.

Then you are correct to expect it to charge at full rate until it's fully charged. I don't notice the charge rate tapering off very much, if at all, at 80% with level 2 charging.

Not AC charging. Should keep full rate until it's almost 100%, then it slows down to balance the cells.
Correct.
L2 charging provides almost the full rate (10.5kW) up till 95% then it slows down as seen on my home charger app.

L3 charging slopes/tapers down after 80%.
Tesla Supercharger yesterday started at 130kW and then dropped to 30kW at 90%.
