clack and noises from steering wheel

Hello friends, since I bought the car I could hear a kind of very small noise on the steering wheel when I moved the steering wheel, it was like a small click click click during the entire maneuver of the steering wheel (you can hear it perfectly when the car is parking by itself).

Now besides the little click click, I get a clack clack when I turn the steering wheel.

Does anyone else have the same thing?

I can't say for sure if that's a bad thing or not but I can say for sure that mine does NOT do that.

Yeah that’s not right. Go to your dealer, it could be bad no one knows.

Think this is the turn signal reset switch, mine can be pretty loud sometimes, but only happens when I’ve got turn signal activated

Nope I don’t hear that with my steering wheel… perhaps should have it checked

All I hear is a very slight whirr from the wheel while turning at stand still. I put it down to the motor as it's attached to the steering shaft. It can be seen on one of the Sandy Munroe teardowns. My PC force feedback steering wheel makes a similar whirring noise (but much louder)

First thought was a bad clockspring

The noise is only there when the car gets warm, when it is cold in the morning then there is nothing. I have tried putting my ear on the steering wheel and there is no doubt its coming from the steering column under the dash.

But the clockspring was a good suggestion, thanks ?
