Not available for MME or iOS. ?

AND YOU HAVE COOLED SEATS?!?!
I hate my life. ?
Yes, truck has cooled seats.

And yes, it does appear that these settings don't appear for the Mach-E. Hadn't noticed, but just looked.

As stated, enabled doesn't mean it's actually on or using power. If it's 98ÂşF out it's obviously not going to use any heater.

Just ignore it and use the AUTO setting for optimal efficiency.
If it’s not being utilized, then why have it selected in the ON position?
It’s these inconsistencies of shown versus actual which is annoying. Then I loose faith in displays, buttons, etc.
“It’s ON, but not REALLY ON.” ?

I want to trust my indicators to tell me what they show. (Old Pilot thinking coming out again…?)

Interesting, thank you! I will stop obsessively checking to see if the heat is “on.” I thought it was actually running (at the same time as the AC), and unnecessarily burning through mileage.
The car is dumb, but it’s not THAT dumb.

If any of these settings confuse people, just read the manual and it explains everything.

I’ve read the entire manual, just not in possession of a photographic memory, which is one reason why I appreciate this forum so much!

Yup I do read the manual, I’m that guy. And the verbiage stated (as attached from the manual) IS the reason for my request to Ford. It all depends on how the software was coded by a human, and if the human is not thorough and didn’t think through all the edge cases and variables…..then we have room for assumptions and interpretation. Using the word “could” is not definitive enough for me in a manual like this.
Hence why I will continue to turn it off manually after every startup to maximize range given my weekly long haul commutes.

Yeah, it’s not really worded well.

But the only time you need to turn it off to maximize range is if it’s actually cold outside and then the e-heat will be running.

In the summer you are turning off a button for a system that wouldn’t turn on anyways.

My home thermostat has heat and cool settings all the time as well. But if it doesn’t hit 68 degrees inside, my heat won’t turn on. No need for me to turn off the heat until November in Florida.

I can’t imagine doing that on purpose unless I was in danger of not making it to my destination and I had to be uncomfortable to get a few extra miles of range.
