Bang and static on start up

[2022 Mach E]

I thought I remembered reading about similar symptoms and that an infotainment software update fixed it. I can’t find it so maybe I am imagining things. ?‍?

How ridiculous. It is just some static. Sure, it is loud, but get out of the freaking cab and it is no big deal. People are so litigious, always looking for handouts and free stuff. So should I sue Ford as well? Some people are so miserable.

Happened to me twice, extremely loud static, radio did not work, no sound coming from speakers. Reset screen a couple of times and turned off car and it worked again.

I have experienced this 2-3 times. Start up…very very loud pop from the speakers….no Sirius….I turn the volume up and each click causes static and smaller pops. I hit FM and everything is fine……go back to Sirius and all is fine.

That sounds like a different issue. Watch the video in the ink I posted.

2022, Mach E, extended battery.

Wife got in the car this morning, upon hitting the start up button, there was a very loud bang, followed by static (much like the old transistor radios), she was so startled she jumped out of the car after turning it off. Tried 4 more times, hoping is would solve issue, while no bang, the static continued on each start up. Waited an hour, and it started up fine, no issues.
I had the same issue when I got into my car to go home. I just turned off the audio and checked it again when I got home and the concern was gone. Not bothering to go to dealership as problem isn’t present so they can’t fix anything.
Anyone have a similar experience? Car worked fine the previous day, did no charge overnight, and no software updates. A bit disconcerting, to say the least.

Called our dealer, got an appointment for next week. At this point she's a bit leery to get in car. Wish I had a video but do not.

Good thought, but no. She hasn't listened to AM in decades

Sometimes an Over the Air update will leave the radio on AM and not on a station, giving a loud noise and static on startup.

Read that thread and you will feel better about the issue. If it is the same thing, I would not bother with getting the dealer to look at it. It is some random bug that will probably never happen again. It only happened to me once.

I don't remember a bang sound. But the static was very loud.

Recently my wife started our Mach E at her work and the loud pop/bang and static happened. She immediately shut off the car, waited a while and drove home without any radio. It really scared her. Later I started the car and turned on the radio and everything was fine. She had the radio on Sirius XM. Everything has been okay since this happened.

I heard a weird, staticky noise out of my stereo one time, then I saw that the SiriusXM Gremlins had changed my channel to the frank sinatra channel ? ???
