Moved from Illinois to Colorado Springs 2.5 months ago - just saw this thread. Live in Colorado Springs. Anyone in the COS area willing to meet periodically?
I'm planning to drive to top of Pikes Peak soon. Anyone have tips?
Certainly MME owners have hobbies, interests, favorite restaurants. Craft beers seem to be popular and beer festivals. All could be MME owner activities.

I've been looking for some meet up events or something too and there's an EV event tomorrow in Longmont as part of Drive Electric week (or month or whatever) that may be worth checking out but is on the opposite side of the Denver Metro for those in the Colo Springs area.

I'm definitely open to meeting up on your side of town however since I have already been on a couple of drives down that way. We could even start our own Mach-E "Steves" club maybe lol. If you haven't already looked into it, google Colorado Scenic Byways. There are lots of cool drives you can take around you while the leaves are changing and before winter comes.

And when it comes to Craft beers...you definitely are in the right state for that.

Great to hear from you. A Steve's club may be overly restrictive. Our son and fiance attend several CO craft beer festivals each year. Granddaughter has a youth cross country meet today so can't travel.
I would enjoy meeting up at some point. I know an EA charger is at the Target in Castle Rock. Might be an opportune midpoint? Perhaps meeting up at the Outlet shops there sometime? Meet, share MMEs, shop, eat, charge as needed.
Using up an Amtrak voucher in October traveling between Denver to Moab, UT. Hope to see great colors along the way.

I hope you enjoy your train ride through the southwest whenever that is this month. I'm guessing it's a gorgeous ride no matter the time of year.

It does look like the Outlet shops would be decent place for a Mach-E meetup. There are a couple of decent coffee and beer options even in addition to all of the other restaurants and shops. I probably won't need to charge though lol. I do most of my charging at home. That's one of the many great things about an EV. I have only been to the gas station once to put a little in my truck in the past 4+ months.

I was wondering if the Fremont is possibly in reference to Fremont, CA?

I had to travel for work there many years ago and while there I went to visit the nearby Tesla showroom in Palo Alto and saw some roadsters in person. Yeah I used to be a fan...But when the rubber hit the road to finally make my first EV purchase I went with the Mach-E instead of a Tesla however.

And I've never looked back since...except to see everyone that's left behind in the rearview lol.

Yes, I grew up in Fremont, CA. I remember the now Tesla plant as first a GM plant. Several neighbors worked there while my dad, uncle and a brother worked at the Ford assembly plant 10 miles south in Milpitas.

I'm not sure how to send a direct message through this site, but if you do message me. We can exchange contact information then arrange a time to meet in Castlerock. Soonest would be first week in November, after we return from Moab, UT.
