The manual says “Allowing your battery to cool before charging … improves the longevity of your high voltage battery”. My question is, how long should I wait after returning home before charging?
Obviously variables like ambient temp and how long I was driving need to be taken into account. I was just wondering what everyone’s thinking was on this.
For reference, I don’t have a consistent enough schedule to be able to use the scheduled charging. What I really want is a delay timer. Wait X minutes after plugging in before charging. My ChargePoint doesn’t seem to offer that, nor does the MME.
Thoughts?
