Any thoughts what this creaking sound may be as I pull into the garage? I go up an incline to my garage….when half the car is in it creaks and as it completely enters the flat garage floor the creaking seems to subside. Backing out is quiet, and I do not seem to notice the creak when starting or stopping on the road….

Could possibly be the sway bar bushings.

Funny you say that. Inside the car it does sound like a polyurethane bushing creaking….I have lived through that on many cars over the years. But I figured the OEM bushings are just rubber and would not make noise. Everything is stock.

Possible that the stocks would creak??

It would be helpful to see a wider angle video so we get a sense of the incline you mention. Holding the phone horizontally and using the widest angle lens would be great.

I have the driveway from hell, transitioning from the 26% grade of the street to the flat garage floor in a space of around ten feet. The right-front freewheels by about 3". As you might imagine, there is definitely some creaking going on, but not from the sway bars (which are Steeda, not OEM).

Ok, will try to shoot again tomorrow…wide angle cinemascope (old term, ha).

Mine is not from hell, but when the front wheels get into the flat garage, the rears are -11 degrees.

11º is about a 19% grade, so yeah, that's a lot. (Mine is about 15º...)

Went in today for the 12V recall and the ‘creak’….getting new front axle half shafts; hmm….we shall see if this is the source of the creak.

my first guess would be the brake calipers or something associated with them.

see if you can replicate the sound with the car in neutral as you press the brake pedal a few times.

@JohnFoxeSheets — did you ever identify where the creaking was coming from? I am on rally springs and Eibach bars and hear some creaking from (only) the front right side when accelerating from a stop, and also when I'm going slowly over bumpy neighborhood roads.

My car’s creaking is specific to when I drive into the garage and I’m sure is related to the bizarreness of my driveway. Since the creaking you’re experiencing is from a specific location in the car and it happens in normal driving, I suggest you get it checked…

I have new front half axle shafts and the creaking is gone. I can’t explain it but I am pleased.
…and creaking is now back. Gotta be suspension/bushing ‘thing’….only happens on front to rear elevation change.
