where do you guys get the dash cams installed ? i am not very tech savvy and previously did it at Bestbuy for my other car but looks like its not an option anymore ?

is it easy enough to install one without much tinkering ?

Did my own. Used a fuse box kit because I don’t want to overload the mirror circuit. It wasn’t that hard. Installing the new one in my new car soon. ??

that one is front only

fyi i did it myself (i have no car experience) front+rear and just routed the rear cable along the ground, used black electrical tape, pretty hidden and didn't haven't to take off the overhead or any trim that way

Following, should have looked more with Black Friday/Cyber Monday.
22 Premium. Which front/rear camera today is recommended for:

• isolating wiring
• Prefer not having batteries due to summer heat
• Easy to use for family to auto start without using apps in phones, but would rather not have to remove sd cards to view.

I have this one. I ran the rear camera wire along the windshield inside the headliner and then under the door weather stripping to the back.

Since I used the mirror tap, it turns on when I start the car, and turns off when I shutdown the car.

That’s genius. I hadn’t even considered there was power available up there. Unless we can hook into the parking cameras this is the best solution

This dash cam ties into the obd for power. It also has parking monitor which means it’s drawing some power. Any thoughts on how bad this would be for the 12V?

I purchased one of these adapters and it doesn't work. The adapter is a 5 pin but the car is 6 pin. How did you get yours to work?
