I got just the forward Thinkware with my Ford Points.
Its good 90% of the time
I just put up with the rest.

Its wired through OBDII and has an ignition module that supposedly monitors off and on

I believe that the issue of Dashcams (DC) going into park mode while driving is in the programming.
It is not limited to any one brand. Both my Navman and Xview DC's have done this.
You will probably find that it happens while driving on a smooth road at a constant speed (using cruise control).
The short sightedness of the programmers think that when you're driving, you have constant stop/start movement. This may be true for city driving, but freeway or country driving is long periods of constant speed.
The DC's need to be programmed to automaticly be in non-park mode and cannot go into park mode if the registered speed is above 5kph (3mi ph). This is in addition to the normal stop/start movement programming as GPS doesn't work in tunnels. It should also take note of the location when it's gone into park mode and if it has moved more than 50m or 50 yards, then automaticly exit park mode.

My Navman has still been in park mode when I've been doing 60kph (35mph) after smooth acceleration from being parked.

What? Your DC doesn't have a GPS speed & location in it? Replace it with one that does & have the speed turned on. How else are you going to be able to challenge those speeding tickets when you're driving alone?
