Since I did the last update Nov. 19 ( Customer Satisfaction Program 21P22 - Software Calibration Update ), I noticed two updates tonight, ABS and DSP. I am sure that everyone doing the 21P22 update now is getting the latest ABS update (and, it may not matter). (I suppose the version may not be new too, just part of it not dropping off my update list for some reason).

ABS installed without any problem and said finished okay, but does not drop off my update list for some reason. I ran it again, and same result. Data logger says I have the latest version, so not sure what the issue is. DSP installed fine and dropped right off the list. I got notices of a new FJDS while working, so installed it too, but no change, ABS still shows on the update list. Doubt it is an issue. All DTCs cleared okay and all modules are green. Total time (not including trying to get ABS to drop off my update list) was about 10 or 15 minutes.

Dec. 18 21 update: ABS dropped off the update list

I have the same issue with ABS.
I updated mine, and it doesnt drop off the list. The Software Calibration version did not change.

What changes did the DSP make?
FDRS does not describe what the changes are. They could be insignificant, related to new trims, solve a problem, or add or improve some feature (I think DSP is mostly audio).

Almost always, there is some Ford document within a week or two that others have access to and post. As best as I understand, FDRS alone does not give access to those documents.

I have seen FDRS flag a DTC for a past TSB, but those errors are almost all bogus (e.g. communication faults), and clear removing the prompt to review the TSB, and the reference to the TSB is not a hot link to a document.

DSP is the B&O amp specifically. People without B&O do not have DSP. Just the ACM which is the amp (I think).

Likely bug fixes to avoid it from locking up from some weird edge case almost no one will ever run into.

Sucks for anyone who did 21P22 before they changed the ABS. Wonder what they found and modified quickly… Good thing is the vast majority of people probably haven’t done it yet.

These were not available for my July build date GT.

As to not dropping off the list it seems to be a Ford server bug. It will stay on that list until theres another ABS update. Then it may drop off after you update. I’ve noticed this across multiple vehicles.

Fortunately they ran mine again yesterday before returning it. I think that was because of errors they were getting but I'll take the benefit!

So the current ABS update will also show under "Software updates" in FDRS? Is this currently the only bugged update doing that? Mine is at the dealer and it looks like they're really doing my request for all FDRS updates, as they did each of the door updates that I don't think was part of 21P22? The only ones still showing are : ABS, IPMA, GSM but under service history, it does look like they updated the ABS today, but not the other 2... hopefully they follow through! I think the other 2 are not part of 21P22?

IPMA and GSM are not part of 21P22. Go read the program here: https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...gram-21p22-software-calibration-update.11677/

Yeah, got that. Well, guess I’m boned. My dealer did all updates, even IPMA and GSM but keep trying to do the ABS update even though that’s the one that wont clear due to a bug. I told them it’s fine, but because I had a previous problem where traction control and evasive steering won’t turn on, and still won’t, they think it’s related to the ABS update and don’t want to call Ford yet for direction. They’ve now updated the ABS 6 times according to FDRS and are just going to keep trying. Yay.

The ABS is updated...its a known FDRS bug that happens all the time to various vehicles and various modules. Sounds like you have a different problem.

Though TC/evasive steering do sound like an ABS issue there likely are other things that happen if it is a problem with the ABS module. Like drive modes and adaptive cruise control.
