Hey, that’s more than anyone at ford has said!!! I notice @Ford Motor Company only jumps in when it’s an easy “fix”, but complete mum on this relay fiasco.
I found out today that my car has to be moved to another location to have the repairs done. Not sure why my EV certified dealership can’t do the work. I was supposed to get a call first thing this morning from the service rep but when I called in the afternoon I was told he was in training. And when I asked to speak to someone else they were all in training.

This is the third time I’ve called and couldn’t get someone to talk to me because they were in training. Lots of training going on at that dealership or they are sick and tired of my daily calls. I don’t care. I want my car back.

Previously I thought I had an HVBJB problem, but then was told that a "battery tray" had been ordered (no idea what that is & why needed) and my MME had battery issues other than HVBJB.

Today I was notified that all parts to fix my MME had arrived. Ford would send an engineer to the local dealer to repair my car.

It's interesting to know that your MME will be sent somewhere else, while mine will stay here and wait for an engineer to rescue it.

If I didn’t know any better I would think these dealerships were not equipped to service these cars…

There's a difference between a dealership that doesn't have the required tools to perform the repair/work on EVs and a Field Engineer. The Field Engineers are the corporate guys who oversee and assist with the dealership repairs. If they said there's a field engineer coming out that's likely because corporate got involved. Their chain of command goes down to the field engineers who communicates with the dealership. Having a field engineer on your car helps ensure that it gets repaired correctly per how Ford corporate wants it done.

Thanks for the clarification. Feeling much better knowing a field engineer is coming to help and supervise.

Yeah all that crusty gunk under the rear spoiler is an abomination. I can't believe you drive that dirty. :D

With the Mach e in the shop, I am about to waste any greenhouse gas I saved by getting rid of the red Eco Diesel in the background by taking the 70 SS 454 Monte Carlo to work; 489 cid 538hp/614ft/lbs; not exactly a Prius!

Had a 7 week journey to get my Mach e back. Parts came in only 3 days after my failure, but the tech wasn’t trained and was backed up. 4 weeks in they decided to do the repair only to find out that they didn’t have the right lift. They sent it to another dealer 20 miles away. 3 weeks later ford flew in a tech to compete the repair since that dealer couldn’t get their 1 EV tech to do it. I also had to complain to a manager at my local dealer to buy a lift and called them every day until they said it was ordered so I know “next time” my local place had the equipment needed to do future repairs.

I am currently having my second HVBJB replaced. This time with the 'beefier' part. All hope is not lost. I had a case with Ford the last time it happened, I reached out to them expressing my dismay at how I'm at 25k now, soon to be out of bumper to bumper and lots of stuff is having to be replaced. They reached out to me and as a good will gesture gave me an extra 2 years 39k miles on a premium extended warranty. If you are out of warranty they will give you 3yr/36k mile coverage. I am very concerned that a 60k car should have so many manufacturing issues. I get it, it's a first year car, stuff like that will happen, but now at least I'm less worried about driving my car.

Hmmm. With all this I think I'll be postponing my trip to Vegas this xmas. holiday...

I'd hate for it to SSD me on the way there/way back and have to be towed to a dealer 40 - 60 miles from home.

What happens then? I'd have to get a loaner (Do they even do that?) or rent a car for How many weeks?

ouch.

Well this makes me sway more towards my Hybrid Maverick I've been waiting on since last year. I absolutely love the Mach but I'm scared I will get this message at some point also. Sad, sad, sad.

It's not that bad, mine took 10 total days from being dropped off to be fixed. Follow the instructions in the HVBJB thread and I think it's very important to open a case with ford.
