Hey!
So, first things first, I've been a long time fan of the Mach-E, and I recently convinced my S.O to get one as our second car and she's loving it!
My other vehicle is now a Land Rover Defender (used to be a JLR I-Pace) and I was a long time community developer. I reversed engineered the JLR Connected Car API, developed a popular Android app, and more. Unfortunately, JLR eventually decided that such work was no longer welcome, and they refactored the API in order to block third party access and now rely on NDA laiden deals with commercial actors to offer limited API access.
I ended up pivoting to DIMO and I developed a Home Assistant Integration, and now I have access to lots of useful data and automations, including battery temperature, which is super useful when planning charging on longer trips and battery health and DTC codes!
I'm not here to advertise for DIMO, but my goal is to get the integration merged into Home Assistant core, so I'd love testers and feedback from users! I've got quite a few from the I-Pace community chiming in, but the Mach-E support is different so I'd welcome input from owners here too! There are multiple ways to onboard the vehicle to DIMO, including a free software connection which offers access to limited data and remote operations.
Attaching some screenshots for inspiration!
