Yes, I know.
But it’ll always come on by default everytime I start the vehicle. So it’s not possible to toggle it off completely?
Just curious as to why you want this off to begin with.

Okay, but do you turn it off on the steering wheel or in Sync?
So this is your default screen then?

Steering wheel.

Yeah, screen starts off like Engage (Active) mode but within a few seconds an animation transitions it into Whisper or Unbridled (Untamed), depending on whichever one I most recently used.

Alright, and you also get the car animation with the blue lines on each side?

My vehicle remembers this preference. If I turn it on, it remains on. If I turn it off, it remains off. I and most of the others responding to your posts live in North America and own North American Mustang Mach-Es.

Your vehicle is behaving differently, apparently. You live in Sweden and have a European MME.

Some have speculated that *maybe* you're experiencing different behavior because of intentional regional differences. But this is only a guess. We do not know. It's certainly possible you're noticing an unintended behavior.

Until several others in Europe can confirm this specific behavior on their vehicles, or until you yourself track this down with Ford, it will not be possible to come to a final resolution on your concern.

Alright, because it was the same with the test-cars.

I turned it off with the steering wheel but next time it was on again.

so it must be because of the europe thing

Agree with you about speed indicator. I turned off lane keeping so my speed & graphic would be centered. Not sure why Ford makes lane keep graphic so “front & center” on display while using?

And it’s still in center? Even when you restart the car? Or does the lane-keep keep coming on?

Mine remembers where it was when I turned off the car. If lane keep was off, it will be off. If on, it will be on. US owner here.

Out of curiosity, does the car remember your other profile settings? I had some trouble with the Audio settings resetting every time I started the car. There is a minor glitch with having settings stick to your profile that many of us experienced. To fix that, disable Profiles, turn the car off, and then turn Profiles back on. I suspect this may be a Europed thing, but it is worth checking.

No same as others from "our side of the pond" it stays it whatever mode I had it in last. So if lane center is "on" at the time I shut her down then it's "on" when I start her back up. Same goes for "off". It does not default to a certain setting upon starting. Must be a European thing; like not having decent showers!! Who the heck wants to take a bath anyway?? LOL JK!!!

Perhaps try this: On your profile turn off both lane keeping and lane centering in the settings. Then try turning profiles off, then go to driver assistance and turn both lane centering off and lane keeping off. Power down the car. Return to the car and power up, turn your profile back on and see what happens.

I think I've solved this.

I tried another Mach-E and it was the same thing. I disable the lane-keep but next time the car came on it was back.

Also - on the cars I've tested we only had two options on the lane keep. It was either Alert + Aid or Aid. We can't disable the Aid-thing at all.

I'm from Norway and it's the same here. Lane-keep always goes back to on, regardless of if it was on or off before vehicle was turned off.

It's a pain. Cause every time I start the car, be that one day after last I've driven it, or five minutes. I have to double press the button on the steering wheel.

Reason I want it permanently off, is cause some roads here are smal, and you're basically being pin-ponged within your lane.

We also have no option to have it just be a warning in settings, and then turn warning to off.

It's either aid + warning, or just aid.
