Do 2025s have better range than previous years?

A difference in 2025 and carried to 26 is the ER battery for Premiums and Selects is physically smaller having 360 cells instead of 376 cells for 24 and earlier. This resulted in 88kwh capacity instead of 91 before. This I assume would mean less weight and more efficiency.
it seems possible (likely?) that the buffer on the 2025+ 88kWh battery would be less than the 91kWh one. Would be interesting to know “how low they go” on that one.

I'm convinced GM underrates their batteries (like they did the muscle car engines). This allows them to have degradation that never gets below the stated range in 8 years, thus never having to replace batteries. Ford may have learned this and then increased the size quietly for that reason? Just a guess.

The Heat pump may also be a factor. I think my Tesla powered RAV4 EV had one and it hardly affected the range.
