I agree, which is why I reacted the way I did. But I believe he can work with the people who can release the Public Charging app to those who don't have it but should. The VIN is required to do it, and posting your VIN publicly is a bad idea.

The bottom line: if you are uncomfortable working with him, don't do it. But based on what I found out, I would share mine with him if I had the problem.

I checked around and it turns out Zed is legitimate. He really is trying to help, and from what I understand, he can help the forum members who have this issue.

Very odd - I had Charge Assist back in October of last year and then changed to Public Charging recently.

yep,

This is less for me than it is for my wife. She doesn't use the ford app (prefers the keyfob) so I would like the ability for her to use this when she travels.
