Several times within the past month I have walked out to the unlocked (country living-car is never locked) car in the morning and found the passenger door ajar. At first I thought I had not closed it properly the night before, but now I am positive it's an uncommanded opening. Besides be perplexing, the car is not in a garage so in wet weather this is an issue. I can't see anything in settings-locks and so on-that would seem to address the matter. Doesn't seem to have anything to do with charging. Nothing showed up on OBD scan. Anyone else seen this? Reboot 12 volt system? TSB?

That is very bizarre. Windows, frunk, liftgate, and locks can all be commanded remotely. Door open cannot. Trying a 12v reset isn't a bad idea. If it continues I would definitely take it for service. Is it still under warranty?

Thanks, Mark. Not under warranty.

I have seen this when I went shopping a couple of times, but I found out it was operator error, by bad habit I pushed the door open button and walked away thinking I had pushed the lock button. When returning I found the door ajar that 2" you see when pushing the door unlock button. Not sure if this is what you did, but that is what happened to me. Good luck to you,

Following up: Took the car to the dealer who found an error code relating to the door. After determining that the wiring and wiring harnesses were all good, replaced the push bottom switch on the door. All codes cleared, door works, and I am out $650, $400 of which is for the part. But, relieved it wasn’t a gremlin. Have to say I am beginning to question the decision to have high tech door switches instead of nice clunky mechanical ones, and I haven’t even had a dead battery yet.

I'm having 'Liftgate Ajar' issues with my latter half of 2022 Mach-e Select with a manually closed liftgate. Sometimes it just bounces open a bit when I try to to close it. On the retry it might feel latched, but I'll still get an Ajar worning on the instrument panel.

Any suggestions?

Would it have been cheaper to simply lock the doors?
