Doors no longer unlocking?

Anyone having issues where when you push the door button the car is not unlocking?

Last night I tried to get into my car, every time I pushed the button on the drivers side I got nothing. I went and grabbed my key from my office and tried again, nodda….

I had to drive to Palm Springs today, every time I had to tap my A colum and use my code. Interesting, tonight while getting ready to leave my car did detect me and turned on the lights as I approached. Tried to open the trunk and the hazards would just blink, the key was in my pocket. I ended up having to press the unlock button on the key remote to get it..

Any suggestions on what I can try to resolve this? I’ve used PAAK since I bought my car Aug of 2021, it’s been flawless for a long time.

Do all doors behave the same as the driver’s door?

Sometimes I need to push two- three or four times before the door opens

Same. Sometimes need to press button 2-3 times to get to open (all doors). A few times one of the back doors would not open at all. In that case I would hear the lock moving but the door would not pop open but if I was able to get my fingers behind the door I could pull it open.

Wow, I've had some weird door behavior, but not that weird. Mine had the bug where I had to open another door before the driver's door would open. Disconnecting the 12V battery for a few minutes solved that one. Maybe try that?

With any door issues, I’ve had luck with disconnecting the 12V battery for a minute. I think the door openers are like an HP printer. Once any command glitches the printer spooler backs up with subsequent jobs. The only way to clear the memory is to unplug it. Disconnecting the 12V battery is the only way to “unplug” the door modules.

Do you have FordPass app open on your phone?

I never used to have to have the app open, but now I do for it to unlock.

Everytime my phone updates I have to manually kill the FordPass app and start it again.

Do you have an iPhone that just updated to 17.3.1?

After that update the Bluetooth status in FordPass was Bluetooth Connecting rather than Connected. I killed the app and restarted it and it went to Connected and the car then responded to the PAAK and let me open the doors.
