After reading this it sounds like the DC Fast charger actually charged you to 51% instead of 71% and FordPass just displayed the wrong number. The charger didn't add enough energy to have actually reached 71%. So no missing energy, just a display error.

The charger may have had a communication fault and read the % from the car incorrectly. Sounds like it was having issues. The charger would reported the wrong % to FordPass as well.

Has to be ... That said I used the supercharger again at the midpoint coming home and it again only charged about 50kw for "80%" or "187 miles of range"... Drove 131 miles home and only had 16 miles left when I got home. So I don't know what it's doing, but like you said that doesn't sound like enough juice for 80% battery. 70.4kw is technically 80% and if it had 9% it should have added at least 62kw or so to be a true 80%?

Car went from 7% to 80%. 73% of 88kW is 64.24.
73% of 68kW is 49.64.

Charger gave you 50kW.

I believe you have the small battery.

Now, I know you have a GTPE with the larger battery. So, during your recent battery problem, someone installed the wrong something. Battery, software, other part, that is only giving you 68kW.

How would that be possible in an eAWD GTPE or you still just screwing with me? It even says 88kwh on the sticker.

Do the math. 68kW works perfectly. So, what happened durometer your battery problem?

I get the math, but why would Ford sell me a GTPE eAWD 88kwh vehicle with the smaller battery? No way that'd pass QC. aren't the only platforms without the 88kwh the 2wd base models/non ext range models? Is there anyway to actually test this?

The battery problem in my other thread was a bent fuse from the factory. Replaced the fuse and that was that.

The other thing was that the supercharger quoted like 2 hours to get to 80% and 1 hour later or so I was already at 71%. I'll try and figure out some more info as I get it. All I know is that I charged up to 71%/170ish miles (as shown in the charge session) and that was reflected on the vehicle as well until I restarted this morning.
i noticed the other day that EA reported it would take 1 hour more than expected to fast charge. I assumed it was something with daylight saving’s time calculations.

Perhaps during the service something was put in or configured that addresses the smaller battery size.

?? I typically get a 235-245 max range... If it was 20kw smaller that wouldn't be possible?

The only "Superchargers" are Tesla's.

If you use an EA fast charger, take a picture of the display, or the receipt if you pay with the EA app, to see exactly how much energy it delivers. See if that matches Ford's receipt, since you are using your free hours.

Take a picture of the before and after car screens, and do the percentage math. Car should end up with a slightly lower amount due to loss.

That should roughly match, because percentages are rounded.

Either you have a vehicle problem as I noted, you can't do math ;) , or you are relying on improper FordPass trip info that is often very inaccurate.

Don’t scare the guy @RickMachE - we all know there is little to no chance it’s the wrong battery. But then again we’ve all been surprised before ?

The only other thing I noticed was my driving history shows on the interstate efficiency wise was 2.3-2.5 and typically around home/picking up kids was 3.5-3.8 (95% of the time). That could easily explain the range difference, but still doesn't explain the dramatic drop overnight in that one charge session unless overnight it just happened to recalculate everything.

Is there any way to get an accurate KW charge from the home charger outside of Fordpass? This is clearly not right as it didn't go from 7% to 100% and only use 43kw. That wouldn't even be any of the battery packs available for this vehicle. It "finished" charging at 8am this morning at 100% with 237 miles and although untouched has slowly changed to 100% at 214 to 211 to 218 in the last 2 hours. Nothing is on and charging is stopped.

Scheduled a service appointment with the dealership. Something is not right. I told it to stop charging through the app, it didn't and says its still charging and not even 100% anymore even hours after being 100%. I don't want to unplug it as it says its 99% and still charging (blue light on the car still flashing like it isn't complete).

Didn't pay attention to this this morning, but everything is off in the vehicle now. I just checked the driving history and no mysterious miles put on it overnight or similar. Just odd. It's supposed to get extremely hot down here again so I'll check and see what it says around noon.
I leave my car parked outside (as my wife constantly remind me its full of crap I don't use) and its getting to 90's here in FL, never seen a drop of more than 1% from 85% charge

In terms of something draining the battery, I once had the car leave the lights on after It auto locked (has not happened again) and even then 20% is to much

Sounds like Car/Ford Pass reporting wrong charge?

Your milage/kw is somewhat low in highway but from your profile pic it looks like you are used to going really fast ;)
