My GTPE did the same thing this morning. Said whisper mode was not available, drove about 50 miles, shut off and everything back to normal.
Yeah that is ridiculous... I have an appointment next week with the dealer to start their investigation.

Please let me know if they figure out anything, had an appointment for mine but doubt they'll get very far since it's working now so may cancel.

If it's like any other Ford it should save the code/fault. I would at least start the paper trail in case it leads to bigger issues. I've had about 12 other Fords (f150s, mustangs, etc) and never had any major issues that couldn't be fixed same day or parts ordered and replaced same day kind of thing.

I dont mind dealing with issues on new tech, but I am not interested in spending $70k on a car and getting the run around for weeks.

I believe so or a control module connected failed. My car bounced all over the place when it failed and felt like a different car when it finally re-engaged. My other huge concern was power. It felt like I only had 20% power and it was almost impossible to get out of my own way on the interstate/highway. Unsafe for sure. Will report back when I know something.

I never had any actual performance problems. Only the fault coming up on cold mornings and then going away shortly. I didn’t want something bigger to happen so I took it in. My understanding is they did see the recorded failure codes from the prior weeks so that is good. However, going on day 4 + a weekend and no news that they’ve found the actual problem much less fixing it.

I have said on a previous forum I had this only happen in extreme cold on the lake so it was sitting all night at 0 to -15 weather or twice it was parked with the one tire in a pot hole. But weather is warming up and I am seeing this happen now consistently. I just to took it to the dealer and they could see it in the memory but nothing coded. So they want me to leave the car a few days to drive without a loaner on hand like WTF no I got work so thanks dealer. I dont get it if it is throwing a error it has to of created a code and why is it not storing it. these things are giant computers it should all be logged. Just sucks I restarted the car 5 times in the garage this morning it 50 here and garage is heated and it would not clear i drive to the dealer boom it clears.

It is frustrating. For mine it sounded like they could see the historical codes but not replicate them and it ended in a series of codes they kept chasing for 6 days. I got the transcript between the dealer mechanic and Ford, and the frustration by the mechanic was very apparent. At one point they were looking at codes that pointed to headlights as the source, which seems crazy. In the end they just ordered a new VDM (which I could have told them on day 1 from this forum) and cross their fingers. It sounds like they are backordered forever, so who knows when I'll actually get it. Fortunately for me, it has only happened on really cold days and not since it warmed up. Good luck!

2023 GT PE, same thing happened to mine the last 2 days. Guess it’s still a thing. Speed limited to 80. Was it the module after all?

I got the same fault today. I drove it about 15 minutes and restarted it with the same fault. Drove it 5 mins and let it sit for an hour and it cleared. Is this going to be problematic? FWIW, it was 35* last night.
