Dual Dash Cam vs. Ifrared Dual Dash am

I want an opinion about this. Ford Mach e Accessories page offers two optional Dash Cams.
One is Infrared and the other is not.
Is it worth the extra $20 for infrared?

Save yourself more than half the money and get a well rated non-“OEM” camera. They have a bunch around the 150 mark that work great. Just make sure they don’t have internal Lithium batteries and use capacitors instead.

I’ve used cheap $30 ones for years and they are still going. I’m not worried about reading plates because even with a plate they can’t do anything without IDing the driver.

The ford dash am is not OEM it’s a thinkware dash cam and it’s cheaper if you buy it from the manufacturer.
