The details are confusing, up to 80A but also says NEMA plug compatible?
The 19.2kW for home charging is ending, not enough people wanted or needed it. The extra requirements of power are expensive and cars are dropping the ability to use that much power. 11kW is what a home max will be going forward.

Ford sells them for around $500. Also check our utility company for any special pricing. Snohomish PUD in Washington State has a market place online and has some nicely discounted ones for their residents.

Unless you want a whole integrated solar, storage and ev charging system, I’d just go with the ChargePoint Home Flex. It’s consistently the best rated Level 2 charger.

Well I'm an impulse buyer, so I've got one on the way. I'll post up a review if I beat the State of Charge crew.

Don't bother telling me about comparisons with clearly better charge purchases, their marketing decision to make it look like a 9V battery is what sold me. I'm exactly that target market lol.

Also the wireless connections / 80A for $900 isn't bad either.

For cars you are right. However, 19.2kW charging is still a feature of ER-battery Lightnings. Those 131kWh batteries take a while to charge at 11kW.

Reading between the message, looks to me like they are either trying to market with hype or trying to sell excess inventory. Either way, I'm skeptical. Agree that I would rather purchase another charger that is used by EV owners and reliable.

LOL, I agree with all of the above. A very bizarre charger, but a 2ft tall 9V Duracell battery mounted in my garage is exactly what I need.

And by need, I mean I only drive 20 some miles a day, so my current 1kw 120v charger I use now more than meets my requirements

Be advised that the 80A unit requires a dedicated 100A circuit. Sound expensive to wire in. ??
