Just wanted to post a quick thread on my wife's trip across Tennessee yesterday. I was pretty nervous about her making a 550 mile trip in Edison2 (MME GT Cyber Orange) from Brevard, NC to Olive Branch, MS considering the recall 22S41. Over the past two months we have racked up ~3800 miles on the MME so it was in the potential trouble area for a HVJB failure. I spent an hour or two evaluating options for routing and settled on I-40 for most of the trip to maximize BlueCruise time. This involved her first ever DCFC at the EA stop in Knoxville and I should note not super techy. First stop went well going from 100% at departure to ~40% in Knoxville and charged to 80% in 22 minutes. Second stop was at EA in Nashville and everything was super smooth. I should also say now that I had already used a significant portion of the free kWh from Ford and had setup a EA+ membership on our phones in advance. Apple Wallet phone reader worked in Knoxville and Nashville with no problems. At the last planned stop in Jackson TN things went awry. Pulled in with ~20% charge and reader did not work. Attempted all 4 chargers and charge would start and then shutdown after 3-4 minutes. Called EA and after being on hold for 30 minutes given advice on how to initiate a charge. After 10 attempts and another hour reached 52% and gave up and drove the remaining 90 miles arriving with ~19%. Trip completed without a SSN message (update has not been applied yet), BlueCruise worked great, a truck full of teenagers passed her on I-40 revving their engine and ultimately gave her the thumbs up. Called EA late last night and they shared that they had a nationwide system failure for members and the only way charges could be initiated was as a guest or credit card. Wife was pissed (used two curse words). I am now planning the trip back and hopefully will not experience the same challenges. Just wanted to share a good experience with the car albeit charging was not great. Hats off to @WyldStallyn for helping to check on the updates in advance.

This sounds similar to an issue I was experiencing...here is a link to my post:

When I spoke with EA, they made no mention of a nationwide issue with members. This was last night (7/18) at around 8PM Pacific.

Yup - I commented in your post but I am sure it was the same problem. I have not seen any mention of it anywhere else.

I was testing public EA chargers for an upcoming trip during this period. Luckily some seasoned users made the comment that charge had to be initiated thru phone. ?
