Someone on another forum noticed that the EA web site is showing increased power output at various sites. I checked it out, and sure enough the power shown for most of the old 150kw units is now listed as 300kw. There are a few listed as 125kw and all of the Chademo are listed as 125kw, used to be 50kw. So the upgrade process must have added the power sharing between the 150kw units. But of course if you are charging and another car plugs in, you may see your power decrease. Not likely an issue for the Mach E though.

So now, do not worry about which charger you plug into, only the Hummer EV can go above 300kw anyway.

The EA app does not appear to be updated with any new numbers, it is only on their web site, so maybe this is being phased in. It seems to me that the app data has not been updated in a long time, since this upgrade started.

Yeah, EA calls it "balanced". They're rolling it in to new hardware installs and replacements.

I wonder what the impact on the already abysmal reliability will be?

I think this is only for the new stations that got switched in so reliability should be improved
The EA website is showing the mall near me as one of the "balanced" sites. However, its been there for years and the chargers are the old style, that make a lot of noise when they come on.

Let's hope the overall reliability is not cut in half because the stations are now paired.

Sounds familiar. Where have I heard this before? https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...o-a-charge-station-near-you.21482/post-505275

Electrify Canada (EAs jean jacket wearing cousin to the North) is charging $0.57 per minute, to charge a Mach E! Avoid if at all possible.
