So I have this issue and wanted to see if anyone else has seen anything like this. I have gotten this error a couple of times and the dealer has thrown some parts at it a new BCM and a new coolant valve, and apparently Ford corporate has been involved. This is on a 23 extended range premium.

It seems to pop up when its plugged in at a lower state of charge like 30% give or take a few percentage points. but its waiting for a preferred charging time or a departure time... maybe when I have both setup.

I noticed that it does this odd thing where well before the preferred charging time and before it would need to start to charge hit the departure time where it like starts to charge for a second then stops then starts then stops over and over again. So the current setup I have is that i have a preferred charging time from midnight until 8AM, but I have a 5AM departure time, and I had about 30 percent with a target charge of 80%. It started charging in earnest at midnight and was compete at 4:30 so it works just how I would expect it to work, but from the second I plugged it in both the charger app (I have a grizzl-e 48 amp ultra down rated to 40 amps) and the ford pass app it kept popping up saying the car was charging then stopping but it would never actually start charging. and the fordpass app keeps saying that it needs to start like in the next minute so in this case it was saying like starting charge at 6:37PM then start and stop then say it needs to start charging at 6:38PM then start and stop.

I wonder if this causes it to stay awake and causing the system to drain the 12 volt. I am going to try and recreate the issue but it has been happening for the last couple months.

Please go and get the 12V recall update done if you haven't yet.

Your Grizzl-E could be causing it as well, make sure you reboot it.

Just an update in case anyone cares. So I got the 12v recall done, that didn't fix it, then I decided to get a new charger, so I picked up an openEVSE and installed it. The problem still persists. I guess I will have to bring it back to the dealership for a third time and see if they can find it.

@Ford Motor Company am I the only one who has this issue? I have video of the car and charger, screen captures of the Ford app and evse page doing the behavior etc. I would love to help get to the bottom of this by collecting any info needed.
