I received a couple of error messages on my Ford pass "Electrical System Drain Service Required" and "Plug in to Maintain Battery", also within the car when turned on it noted ""Electrical System Drain Service Required". This happened while the car was on a charger, but not actively charging. Also, there are no active market parts.

I did read another thread, but wonder with a 2023 standard range premium, nearly fully updated, only 5000 km, any suggestions?

Just sounds like an AGM that dropped below the voltage threshold that triggers the alert.

Does the car get driven much?
Does it sit for days plugged into the L2, but not being charged?

It gets driven on a nearly daily basis, and it is plugged in most times when parked. Sunday 21 kwh was added, Friday 24 kwh, Wednesday, 28 kwh, Monday, 24 kw.

Mayve if it was sitting on the lot for half would cause issues with the 12v, only had it for 2 months.

It takes about an hour to top up the 12v battery, so that should have happened in your charge sessions. Note, the MME only charges the 12v battery when ON or when charging the HVB. Leaving it plugged in after the HVB has stopped charging doesn't help the 12v battery regardless of what the message says - Seems silly but the modules still drain the 12v over time even when plugged in.

Make sure the keys or PAAK phones are far enough away that they don't keep lighting up the MME. This is a known cause for draining the 12v.

Sitting for 6 months can be hard on the 12v battery due to the deep cycles it may have gone through. The MME does charge the 12v from the HVB when it drops too low but still hard on it since it is repeated deep cycles.

My wife's 2022 MME is still on the original battery. We got the car a couple of days after it arrived at the dealer. My 2023 Lightning's battery failed at 18 months - It sat on the lot for 2 months before we came to a purchase agreement.

It would be good if Ford changed the charge profile to keep the 12v topped up while it is plugged in and not just while it is charging the HVB. In the meantime, if you get the messages regularly and you haven't installed any aftermarket mods that use 12v, then have the dealer capacity test the 12v.

As an update, took it to a dealer and the battery needed to be replaced.
