Purchased my Mach E Premium in October 2023. My wife had it out all morning running errands, no issues. I just received the following two messages in the Ford ap:

Ford Mustang Mach-E Electrical System Drain Service Required - ??? 2AD2F6D6-EA64-476E-BCD3-408C944AE6DC

I have no "after-market" device(s). The 12V battery is only 3 months old. What is going on here?

I would guess the 12v was at a low SOC so the HVB transfered some power to the LVB. If you don't drive the car often the 12v can get low.

Nothing really to worry about unless your driving the car for 30+ minutes daily and you get this message a lot.

Thanks; first time for these messages. She drives it 3 or 4 times a week, 100 miles or so a week.

This could be the headlight switch bug people have been experiencing. Do you hear a chime when you turn off and exit the vehicle? Some headlight switches are defaulting from "Auto" to "On". Next time, check, and turn Headlight switch to the left of steering wheel to "Off". Plug in to L2 charger whenever possible.

Is something plugged into the ODB port under the dash? Like a theft recovery device of some type?

2023s shouldn’t have this problem. The new switch went into production in November 2022. I don‘t remember exactly when the 22 to 23 model year transition occurred, but there can’t be many 23s with the bad switch.

2023 Premium Extended range
I got this message for the first time today. '23 premium with extended range. I have had it just under a year, drive about 250-300 miles a week, charge every night before I go to work (3x/week, 80 mile round trip.)

Mine did that and everything started acting weird. Ended up taking it to the dealer and they updated something and ordered a new part for it. Since then I haven't had a problem. I have a 22.

I received the same message today. it appeared briefly and went away. Do the warning messages go away if you don't hit the ok button? I started the car about an hour after the warning and no warning message. I replaced the 12V battery in December. Ghost in the machine?

Same here. December new battery in a 21. Never got this before. Had AC charged it for several hours earlier today. Should have had a full 12V battery. Lights were not on between charging and message -about 3 hrs. No after market parts.
