I generally charge at home but have used EVGo 50kw and 100kw stations successfully. However all attempts to use Electrify America stations have produced an error code on the EA screen 89_00H_0 and "charge station fault see manual" on vehicle screen. My local dealer has absolutely no idea how to work on this vehicle but was able to read the diagnostic that the vehicle in fact had an error when charging. They ordered a charging part that works between port and battery, which is on backorder (for indefinite time) that they think will cure issue. I'm quite dubious.

Anyone have similar experience or thoughts?

Thanks,
Buttercrunch

Have you tried calling EA while you are at the charger with the error active?

Thanks for asking. Yes, three times. All three times the phone operator came to dead end. They each insisted on rebooting their (already functioning) station(s) and none of the three of them could interpret (or find anyone available to interpret) the 89_00H_0 error code.

In case anyone was following this. There dealer replaced the charging "module". It now works with EA station. Bad news is that I have extended range AWD so at reset it's 270mile range. The new module I believe thinks this is a standard battery because fully charged range is around 225. Dealer is researching.

most likely the GOM algorithm has been reset during the module replacement and just needs to learn again.

It's normal for the range show a very low mileage number like 220 after a reset. It does not reset to the EPA mileage of 270, it starts out extremely conservatively and improves slowly with time. It may take up to 1000 miles of driving for it to return to normal. The battery is still working fine and you have your full range available, it's just a wonky display that's not accurate. Think of it like a broken gas gauge, the car still has the same amount of gas in the tank. So nothing is wrong here.

Well thanks M Lee. This is weird. Any time you reset, it puts it way down there? Does it think it's a standard battery?

Yes, it goes low after a reset. No, it's not because it thinks it's a standard battery. It's been well documented on this forum that it plummets and then works its way back up to normal slowly.
