Electrify America "Charge Error"

For three weeks I have been trying to get EA to resolve my problem. No luck. Using their app, when I plug in then swipe I get the following message: "Charge Error. We are unable to start your charge. Please check that you are at the correct charger and your vehicle is plugged in." If I use the FordPass app, no problem. It wouldn't matter except that I want the Pass+ discount, and to have more than one way to start a charge in case things go haywire, which they certainly have a tendency to do! Anyone else run into this one?

I would either swipe on the EA app first and then plug in. Or tap my phone on the dispenser using the EA card in my iPhone wallet and then plug in. Never experienced the issue you described.

Plug in and swipe is your problem.

Interesting. I have always plugged in then swiped on the EA app. Never had an error like OP describes. But then we all own slightly different computers-on-wheels. So we shouldn’t be expecting the same behavior out of all of them.
