Entry System Update - 24-PU0301-BLM-PE

In my Mach E, I am also seeing rapid response on initial opening of any door. I'm also finding that the liftgate opening is extremely reliable now. No more having to "Do the Hokey Pokey" to get it to sense my foot. Perhaps the biggest issue was with detecting the PaaK phone rather than the kick technique?

Of course, there is still no response if the phone is in too deep a slumber, so sometimes I still have to tap the face of the phone for PaaK to operate.

Also, I am no longer getting the dee-doo-dee-doo-dee-doo tone when the liftgate completes its opening.

Best of all, the welcome lights come on more reliably when I approach and I am much more regularly seeing my pony lights come out to play!

I second what @ChasingCoral said. My first tests on the liftgate kick to open were a mixed bag. Since then though, I’ve yet to have a failure on that feature. Door responsiveness is so good that it startled me the first time I tried it post update,

I have a 2021 Mach E. Update installed over night on Friday. I went somewhere on Saturday morning. Car is dead . No start . No entry. Nothing. So much for easy entry. Called dealership and they said i will need to have it towed in. Ugh so tired of recalls, CSAs, and shop time.

I'm having a problem after the entry system update as well. So, if I walk up to my driver door the lights come on but the keypad doesn't light up and the push button doesn't so anything. Driver door will not open. But if I press the driver side rear door open button, the driver door and driver side rear door both open. Such a weird thing. I reset my phone, checked all my settings and can't seem to figure it out. Maybe it will be fixed on another update. I did notice if I use my phone or fob to unlock them the driver door will open as usual. Not by walking up to it and pressing the button though.

Anyone noticing that driver detection isn’t working as well after this update? I gave up on paak, but my wife still uses it. I’ve had a steering wheel in my lap a couple times post update, despite the profile assigned key in my pocket. This very rarely happened before this update.

Where is the rollback button?

Haven’t had this in a long time and sure hope the update doesn’t bring it back…. The door control modules need updated, our dealer did this 2-3 different times before it finally disappeared. It’s been solved for at least a year for us.

I installed the update yesterday and Fordpass (latest version) on iOS still has the buttons to open/lock the doors.

Do you need iOS 16 or higher for this to work. I have an iPhone 7 that uses iOS 15. The download to the car was successful but I have not seen any change in opening doors.

I guess I'll have to get in touch with the dealership. I've only had it two weeks and it's worked fine up until that update. Oh well, could be worse. Thanks buddy ??

I popped the frunk, took the top plastic off, and disconnected the negative on the battery for a few minutes. Now the door is working as it should. We will see how long that lasts ??

A month and a half later, I got it on my 2023.0 CA Rt 1. My second update this week. So far the doors all open.

Just got this one today for my '23.0 Premium. I stayed with the vehicle while it was updating. The rear end made a weird noise for a minute or so. After the update, I checked that all the doors and liftgate opened normally. No more bing-bong, bing-bong noise when the liftgate opens now.?

Side note - Does anyone know if this is the update that fixes the liftgate glitch on the '23s?
