Error code 1003 when trying to set PAAK

Hello. I have two identical phones for me and my wife (same brand, same model, same ROM in exactly the same version). In one of them I am able to set PAAK (althought it fails to get the windows up or down, walk away close doesn't work... at least it mildly works).

In the other phone when i press "pair device" it says: Error when downloading the key. Error Code: 1003". I've tried restarting, uninstalling the app, set the right permissions for the app...

Can anybody help me?

I'm guessing you bought the car 2nd hand. Do you know if the dealer fully reset PaaK?
Also it might be helpful if you tell us Android/iPhone.

I'm guessing you bought the car 2nd hand. Do you know if the dealer fully reset PaaK?
Also it might be helpful if you tell us Android/iPhone.
No, brand new car, worked until I changed ROM in my Android OnePlus 15. When I switched ROM it stopped working.

I think you have your answer, you switched ROM.

Delete phone in car. Shut off car, open door, close door.
Delete PaaK on phone, delete app. Reboot phone. Add phone.
