Error in order

We ordered a 23 Mach-E premium in early June and it was built last week. However, the build was wrong, since somehow Ford added the extended range battery for $7,000. Anyone have a similar experience, or have thoughts on how to handle this? I'm not paying the $7 grand. Thinking we'll have to order another one.

A signed order from a dealership with details and pricing might be a good arguing point to get a free upgrade.

Being a Mach E owner with about 48 grand on the odo since I got the car (original owner here), I found the extended battery on my car, the way I drive it, is well worth it. If you ever plan to use the car on long drives, especially in Winter, it pays for itself in less worry and fewer charging stops.

Even more so if you can swing a good deal based on an inaccurately executed special order.

What does the order sheet that you received from the dealer show? Your order sheet or DORA as it is sometimes called should look similar to this but instead of the 91kwh battery it should state the kwh of the standard battery.

If your DORA shows the extended range battery then that is what you ordered if it shows the standard range battery then there is a good chance that the dealer modified your order without notifying you.

Do you know MME prices are dropping like a rock. Check out the price of used MME. Maybe pick up a used low mile MME for some savings instead of reordering. Or find an existing inventory and negotiate for some discount off MSRP.
