Failed update

That was my experience with my pre-owned ‘21 Job 1. Purchased it without knowing that a previous OTA had failed and was blocking all subsequent OTA’s. Discovered the failure when our ‘22 was delivered and salesman was demonstrating APIM features that were not yet available on the ‘21. Dealer‘s service department was unable to execute A TSB and initially tried to blame it on a USB port that had been damaged by a spilled drink. After a couple months of haggling with dealer —and belly-aching through this forum— Ford dispatched an engineer from Dearborn to Northwest Arkansas. Took less than 4 hours to clear the fault and execute outstanding updates. Other than the unexpected death of the LVB LAST YEAR it has been trouble-free driving since December ‘22.

Hopefully I can get the help then, so far this forum has been my best help.

Thanks to this forum a software update was pushed to the car, which has fixed the issues. But unfortunately the car reports the update was not completed... not sure what this means for the car and if the issues will return or not.

What Sync version are you on? If it's 26093, that failed update message is erroneous and you can ignore it.

It says 26093 and fordpass app also reports it as completed... only issue now is car is acting like blue oval is not connected while app says active.(this is a issue I can live with at least lol)

Not sure if it's all related but I just got a Powertrain Malfunction/reduced power warning... Hopefully it was a low voltage thing from the update (I ran the car for a bit and the wrench on cluster went away)... still have my appointment with the dealership thankfully.
