I’ve misplaced my spare FOB. It would be nice if the Ford app had a find myFOB feature.

Then you would drain the fob's battery by always broadcasting a signal...

Put an AirTag (or the Android equivalent) on your keychain.
This is the way! I put Tiles on my car keys, work badge, etc. Even luggage when traveling...

I thought I was old but I'm not at your stage yet. I usually ask my wife to help find something if needed as a last resort. Another reason why PAAK is great. It's harder to lose a phone than a fob. I don't carry a fob.

Hah, my wife came home one day and mad at Ford because the car wasn't locking. I asked her if she had left a key fob in the car. Of course, she said no because she uses PAAK. EXCEPT that she had taken a key fob the week before, so my son could use the car and forgot it was there. Needless to say, when I handed the key fob to her after a 15-minute search, I did so with a pleasant smile and said gently, "I fixed the locking problem" and promptly went to fix something else that needed immediate attention in the garage for the next hour (beer fridge was too full). Crisis averted.

Recommendation: Leave your phone and key fobs in the house, walk out to the car. If the door opens, start searching. It's a real thing. Folks have found them under the seats, wedged between the seat and console, in the back seats or anywhere else that is just out of sight.

Yes. You can also try to start the car without your normal phone or fob present. If the car starts, then you have a key fob in there somewhere. Sometimes the car will start even if you have a fob in a Faraday pouch because they are not perfect.

I started putting Tiles on my keys, badge, etc, before I was 50. Just another tool to find stuff.

Wow, what a fool! You had the great opportunity to lord this over your wife for a long time, and you took the wrong approach! Wait, I get it. It's now on your "she owes me list", so when you do something stupid she can't lord it over you. Problem is, she will anyway... :cwl: :cwl: :cwl:
