IMO this is placebo... 1.7.1 only updated one module: the APIM (sync system)
I thought that too, but It’s very noticeable, takes longer to come to a stop, less grabby

I still think that's very unlikely since as the op said, this is the first OTA to target drive train related components. That being said, I can think of a few things that affect Regen feel.

The biggest is drive mode. Whisper is far less aggressive on Regen than Unbridled, for example.. battery temp and state of charge can also affect Regen levels.

I am already at this level using FDRS updates. One change is the faster DC Fast Charging above 80%.
What modules did this show in FDRS? And did you also get the Blue cruise email as part of EA?

Here’s my ABS module versions if this can be looked at to determine anything, I’m on 2.3.0 right now

Yeah, I'll have to compare to what my version number is, I have a February 2021 build but I also have done an fdrs update to my abs module.. have you done that as well? Or just otas?

Side note... What app is that?

Just OTAs.

It’s the latest build of the FordPass widget by @tonesto7, you can see all the module info now!

Oh that's great! I have an iPad at home with his widget on there but I haven't looked at it for a while I'll have to update and check again

Looks like all of my version numbers are slightly higher than yours… Though that makes perfect sense given that I did an ABS update with FDRS. That being said, even with all the updating that I have done I’ve never noticed any difference to regen feel in my car. And given we both have job 1 premium awd er models, we should be more or less the same

I am an Early Adopter and got the Final Steps to BlueCruise email. I have RWD so no SOBDMB. I first kept track of module information via Forscan, which does not show all the part numbers. This is the sequence of updates to my MME.
OTA #1 GWM/ECG
OTA #2 GWM/ECG
PowerUp 1.4 TCU
PowerUP 1.6 GWM/ECG
PAAK update (Dealer) RFA/BLEM
Powerup 1.7.1 APIM
FDRS 10/2021 (my first) ABS BCM BECM DSP IPMA OBCC PCM SOBDM SOBDMC
FDRS 11/2021 (21P22) ABS BECM RFA/BLEM DCME DCMF DCMG DCMH GSM OBCC PCM SOBDM SOBDMC
Powerup 2.1.0 GWM/ECG
Powerup 2.3.0 APIM TCU
Mystery update APIM (1 file added)
FDRS 02/2022 DSP GWM/ECG OBCC PCM SOBDMC

Later updates to a module supersede early updates and changes are cumulative.

Wow - looking forward to this update. One of my big complaints with the car is the grabby brakes!

So my wife has complained about this since we got ours... I am assuming once Job 1 is up to where the 2022's are out of the factory we might start seeing some of the catchup items Job 1 is getting on the 2022s?

Well, I think that the 1-pedal brake should be more aggressive, from 60km per hour you need many meters to stop the vehicle when releasing the accelerator
and if on top of that with the update they soften them, it will force us to use the traditional brake more often...and then why 1 pedal?

This makes braking smoother. 1PD is already really good at stopping even at 100kmph. If your not finding it aggressive enough, make sure you’re in engage or unbridled. Whisper is the weakest 1PD braking.
