I don't know how often you all check coolant and brake fluid level in the reservoirs, but to me they have to be looked at from time to time. The panel above the reservoirs makes it hard to do. You have to remove it with force to see the bottles. Its fasteners holding it down can easily drop, fly to nowhere or even break. So I decided not to put it back, so I don't have to remove it every time.

I don't see any other reason why that piece of plastic put there other than cosmetic. Do you?

It’s pt there for two reasons: Cosmetic, and to frustrate anyone who needs access to the fluid reservoirs and 12V battery. ?
