Try the 'start charging' button under the charge percent slider, I think that's the same as the start button on the old version.

My target charge is set to 90%, and I came home with low range and wanted to start the charge prior to my normal set schedule. I pressed Start Charging and the screen showed it was going to charge to 100%. If I moved the slider to less than 100% it immediately stopped charging. WTF Ford?

On iOS, add a widget to your screen for the Ford App. This is what it shows

Midwinther35, you are absolutely correct. I charged my MME to 90%, as usual. Shortly after, I tapped the start button and it charged to 100% without changing my my chronic letting. Thanks!

If it can reach the target charge within your schedule then it will obey the schedule.

If you press start that means start charging now to 100%.

Why did you feel the need to start charging sooner instead of sticking to the schedule?

This was just a test. I only charge beyond schedule when taking a longer trip. I try to minimize charging stations. I prefer charging at home, which I do at least 95% of the time.

It did what you told it to do. Pressing start charging tells the car to charge to 100% right now. Setting it to less than that will cause it to follow the charge schedule unless it can not get to the target charge within the scheduled time.

I know we all hate change, but that slider everyone is missing... I fuckin' hated that thing. It would always bump around after I lifted my finger from the screen. I'd change the level to 80% (just as an example) an as I lift my finger, regardless of how careful I am, it always bumped to 81 or 79 or 52. Anything but what I wanted. If I can just hit charge now an it'll charge to 100%, that would be an improvement to me.

Because I have solar panels so I like to charge in the middle of the day. I came home at night and needed a charge in the morning, before my set schedule starts at 10am. I used to be able to just start the charge off-schedule without having to change the schedule. And I didn't want it to charge to 100% which it would do while I was sleeping. So I had to wait to charge it when I woke up so I could stop it before 100%, which also required that I keep checking it. If I press Start, I should also be able to adjust the target charge, just like I used to be able to do. The slider is there and I should be able to start and choose the target. Why provide the slider if adjusting it turns off the charge? This is stupid that we lose functionality.

It did what you told it to do. Pressing start charging tells the car to charge to 100% right now. Setting it to less than that will cause it to follow the charge schedule unless it can not get to the target charge within the scheduled time.
Pressing Start should just mean I want to charge NOW instead of WAITING. It should either follow my preset target or allow me to choose a different target for this ONE TIME. There is now no way to charge NOW for less than 100% without changing the schedule. There used to be. I don't know why setting the slider to less than 100% should cause it to follow the charge schedule. How does that make sense?

Yeah since the update my scheduled charge to 90% only works about half the time. And when I see it didn't start charging and I try to start a charge, it'll only charge to 100%. Very frustrating.

My scheduled charge time/percent has yet to fail in the 14 months I’ve had this car.
It doesn’t really make sense why it works for some and not others.

Strange right? It was flawless for me until the November 21 update.
