Hi All,
I decided to try a conversation with Ford and the Deep Sleep Issue my car is having.
I eventually received this...

Is there anything necessarily wrong with that response? Canadian customers should talk to Ford Canada. Wow!

Dear Ford,

CNBC made a video for you to share with your upper management.

Take notes, I can say with 100% certainty that this is not fake news.

Send that to your state legislators and governors!!... Until customers get more powerful lobbyists than car dealers, the current broken system will remain. If Ford could sell directly to consumers, they would. And consumers would benefit from it.

Ford, you need to heavily reign in the Additional Dealer Markup issue. It is a significant problem right now. They are making all sorts of excuses about it too. The competitor in this space does direct to customer transparent pricing.
You need to crack down hard. They are making all sorts of excuses for it including the parts shortages, when in fact the MSRP and their cost has not changed at all. I have to agree, the dealerships are an issue, and seriously consider spinning off the sales of these vehicles direct to customers.

I agree that the dealership/car buying experience can be unnecessarily painful at times, but these types of stories almost always miss one of, if not the most important function dealerships serve for car manufacturers. The fact is car factories, well all factories actually, are their most efficient when they are running at near capacity consistently, which, in turn, allows the manufacturers to keep their costs (and in theory the end price of their product) the lowest. The dealerships allow the car manufacturers to do that by functioning as a reservoir of sorts. The cars flow out of the factories at a (more or less) consistent rate. When consumer demand is low, the reservoir fills up, and when demand increases, the reservoir level drops.

If we went to a direct to consumer model, the prices of cars would go up, because the factories would not be running as efficiently because of demand fluctuation. If you pose the question to people as would you rather buy from a dealer or directly from the manufacturer, most people will answer they prefer to buy direct from the manufacturer and avoid the dealer hassle. But, if you posed the question as would you prefer to buy from a dealer or buy direct from a manufacturer but pay $1-2K more for the car, the answer would change for a lot of people.

People will almost always choose their pocket book over everything. Take negotiating for a car prices as an example. As long as I can remember I have heard stories of study after study showing people hate negotiating on a car. Back in the 90s, Saturn made a splash with their no haggle pricing. Since that seemed to be popular, a local Chevrolet dealer also decided to implement a no haggle price scheme. They abandoned it after a couple months because they found people would come to them to get the no haggle price, and then run to another dealer that did haggle to see if they would beat that price. So, people said they hate haggling, but when given the opportunity, they haggled.

Let's just focus on the MME for now, many dealers are adding ADM, so in this case the best deal comes from the MFG and not the dealer (Ordering Online). Even if the dealer agrees to MSRP, the best you can do with the MME to lower the cost would be to use the XYZ plan.

Demand is demand, no two ways about it. Ordering online helps Ford know realtime the demand, however a car often is an immediate need for the consumer and waiting for delivery is a problem. So lots of cars to choose from on the dealer lots solves that problem, but doesn't help Ford know the realtime demand. This is the current problem that they are in, lot shortages are a real thing which is linked to not knowing the realtime demand and being able to forecast for such.

Hi Ford Social Media Team. Welcome to join us.

I love MME but I'm so tired dealing with Ford dealer to buy.
1> My dealer seems don't know detail about EV incentive.
2> He keep recommended normal lease strongly instead of Ford option Lease.
3> He didn't explained about Ford option incentive (-$2,000) I found on Ford.com by myself...
4> I almost lost my Federal Tax credit (contract as a normal lease)
so I checked this forum again then I canceled my contract at the night urgently.
5>Last, I still didn't get my $500 deposit.
If I we're would not member of this forum, I would buy MME as a ridiculous deal.
MME Forum saved my money indeed.
Hi there, Kenny! I'd like to look into this further on my end. Can you send us a direct message with more information? Thank you!

I visited, but the website refuses to accept my 8-digit Order Number. It only accepts four digits.
Yep. The 4 digit number can be found on your window sticker, or obtained from your dealer.

A lot of us have been wondering whether there was a typo on the GT Performance that it states manual passenger seat. Wondering if you can confirm going from the GT to the GT Performance we will have manual passenger seats?
Hey there, thank you for bringing this to our attention! Both seats are powered in the GT and GT Performance. If you can, would you please send over a link to where you saw this typo so we can get it corrected?

I can't find a 4-digit number anywhere on the window sticker.
